    Argentine Army
Army Chief of Staff

Buenos Aires, March 1 2002

Dear General and Friend,

I am pleased to write you, and through you to the Superintendent of the UNITED STATES MILITARY ACADEMY IN WEST POINT, LTG William J. LENNOX, to express on behalf of the ARGENTINE ARMY and myself our sincere congratulations for the bicentenary of the creation of the UNITED STATES MILITARY ACADEMY IN WEST POINT.

Our Army joins such an important event in recognizing the professional excellence and international prestige of your distinguished Academy.

Many Argentine Officers and Non Commissioned Officers, who had the opportunity to attend classes or visit the institute and where acquired invaluable knowledge and personal as well as professional experience, are witnesses of such a consideration.

Also, our NATIONAL MILITARY ACADEMY was honored to host in its classrooms cadets from West Point, finding in them a solid education and support of the republican values, exchange that simultaneously has allowed to strengthen the current bonds between our armies.
