LT GEN WILLIAM J. LENNOX
SUPERINTENDANT
U.S MILITARY ACADEMY

Dear General,

I am pleased to note that the United States Military Academy at West Point is commemorating its 200th anniversary. I would like to take this opportunity to extend my congratulations on this momentous occasion.

West Point, being the oldest service academy and one of the most prestigious institutes of learning in the United States, has established a very high ideal towards duty, honour and country as well as high standards of education.

The academy has produced many fine scholars and world - renowned leaders over its 200 years of history. The Singapore Army has the honour and privilege to send some of our officers to attend the academy. The Army has benefited greatly from the contributions of these graduates.

Once again, on behalf of the officers and men of the Singapore Army, I would like to wish you and the United States Military Academy many more successes in the years ahead.
