The primary Mission of the Museum is to educate the U.S. Corps of Cadets.

The West Point Museum actively collects Army and West Point Artifacts

GETTING TO THE WEST POINT MUSEUM
FROM THE SOUTH:
Follow the Palisades Interstate Parkway north to the Bear Mountain traffic circle
– Take Route 9W north at the West Point/Rte. 218 exit. Drive north on
Rt. 218 into Highland Falls following the West Point sign to bypass the business
district (Main Street) of Highland Falls. The Museum (look for a sign and Army
Tank on your right) is 150 yards before the West Point (Thayer) gate. Parking
is in front of the Visitors Center and the Museum is located adjacent to the
Visitor Center.
FROM THE NORTH:
Take Rt. 9W south – After crossing Storm King Mountain, pass the first
two West Point exits (Rte. 218 / 293) and West Point/Highland Falls. Turn off
of Rt. 9W at the third exit which is also Rt. 218 There are brown West Point
Museum and Visitors Center signs in the area. Drive north on Rt. 218 into Highland
Falls following the West Point sign to bypass the business district (Main Street)
of Highland Falls. The Museum (look for a sign and Army Tank on your right)
is 150 yards before the West Point (Thayer) gate. Parking is in front of the
Visitors Center and the Museum is located adjacent to the Visitor Center.
FROM THE NEW YORK STATE THRUWAY:
Take Harriman Exit (#16) – Continue east on Rte. 6 East (West Point) –
Follow Rte. 6 to Rte. 293 which splits to the left – Take 293 to 9W south.
Turn off Rt. 9W at the third exit which is also Rt. 218. There are brown West
Point Museum and Visitors Center signs in the area. Drive north on Rt. 218 into
Highland Falls following the West Point sign to bypass the business district
