U.S. Army Garrison, West Point - Operations Center Mission: Directs, coordinates, tasks, and manages daily operational actions of the West Point installation in order to maximize the utilization of available resources. Disseminates critical information to service members, employees and residents on West Point. Provides daily status reports to higher headquarters as required. During crisis situation, the Operations Center activates the Emergency Operations Center (EOC) to meet contingency or emergency operations requirements. The EOC directs and coordinates activities when directed by the Garrison Commander during natural and man-made disasters occurring on the installation.
DPTMS Plans mission: Coordinates the development of operational plans for contingencies or emergencies affecting West Point. Coordinates the installation’s emergency preparedness information campaign. Participates in emergency tests, training and exercises with both on-post and off-post regional emergency response and management agencies. Manages the installation Force Protection program.
