Senior co-captain Maurice Worthy remained unbeaten on the year, picking up his 20th win of the season. But it was not enough as Army dropped a 22-18 decision to visiting Boston University Saturday afternoon at Christl Arena.
Worthy, ranked third in the nation, improved to 20-0 on the year with a pin of Bostons Josh Sigmon at 1:12 of the first period. It was Worthys eighth pin of the season.
Junior Eric Gust picked up three points with a 3-0 decision over Ed Strauss. Gust held a slim 1-0 advantage and scored a takedown with just 30 seconds left in the bout to secure the win. Army freshman Kris Perrin picked up the Black Knights other victory with a 10-8 decision at 141 pounds. Freshman Michael Quiroga won by forfeit at 133.

Bostons Jose Leon won by technical fall over senior Ben Garner at 125 to put the visiting Terriers up 22-9, clinching the victory. Leon scored a near fall in the final seconds of the second period to gain a 26-11 advantage, ending the bout.
Saturday, Army hosts the seventh annual Academy Championships at Christl Arena. Rivals Air Force and Navy will be on hand for that tournament along with The Citadel, Coast Guard, Merchant Marine, Norwich and VMI. Preliminary round competition begins at 10 a.m. with the championship round slated for a 5 p.m. start.
