Return to the "POINTER VIEW"
April 27, 2001
Every day in the U.S., 17 people go to work and never return home.
In 1989, April 28 -- the anniversary of the Occupational Safety and Health Act -- was chosen to honor all workers who have been killed or injured on the job.
Along with remembering, it is also an opportunity to rededicate ourselves to improving health and safety in workplaces everywhere.
