46th Brigade Boxing
Open Feb. 1
The 46th installment of the Brigade Boxing Open will be held Feb. 1 at
Christl Arena at 7:30 p.m.
Admission is free.
Cadets who have completed plebe boxing will compete in 11 different weight classes (119, 125, 132, 139, 147, 156, 165, 175, 185, 195 and heavyweight).
Semi-final matches will be held Wednesday and Thursday in Arvin Gym’s East Boxing Room at 4:30 p.m. There are 16 semi-final bouts, eight each day.
Round Pond
reservations
West Point’s Community Recreation Division will accept reservations for
Round Pond log cabin, camper, tent and pop-up sites, and pavilions/party
facilities starting Tuesday at the CRD Admin Office for active-duty personnel
only. Reservations can be made in person or by calling 938-4455 from noon to 3
p.m. daily.
Reservations for all other eligibility categories starts Feb. 19, noon to 3 p.m. After March 31, all reservations, including equipment rental items, will be accepted at Round Pond only.
Last call for
seasonal camper applications
The lottery for seasonal sites at Round Pond has been postponed until Jan.
29. Applications will be accepted through Jan. 28. Site rental is from April 1
through Oct. 31 and active-duty military have first priority.

Holiday ski hours
Monday
The Ski Slope will be open on a holiday schedule Monday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.,
in observance of the Martin Luther King holiday.

Tappan Zee sports
run announced
The annual Tappan Zee Sports Run is slated for March 10 starting at 9 a.m.
This is a 10K and 2-mile race.
Special awards will be given in the law enforcement, firefighter, lawyer, doctor, veteran, military, allied health, educator, Tappan Zee alumni (male and female) and clydesdale division (male only). Regular awards will be given in 5-year age group increments.

The CRD indoor swim schedule for the Arvin Gymnasium instructional pool is
as follows:
Closed Holidays and for swim meets.
Patrons should call the DPE Security Desk daily before coming to swim for any changes to the schedule. The number is 938-6406.
HOURS:
Sunday -- noon to 5 p.m.
Monday, Wednesday & Saturday -- Closed
Tuesday, Thursday -- 6:15 to 8:30 p.m.
There is no charge for the indoor swim program during the winter. To get to the
instructional pool, go into the main entrance of Arvin Gym, go left past the
ramp, dogleg section of the corridor and boxing rooms. Take a right at the next
corridor past the 62 Room and up one flight of stairs. Follow across to another
set of stairs and go down. The pool will be through a door on your right. A
certified lifeguard will be on duty at all times during operating hours. For

Rink
The following open skating dates and times are posted for those interested

Galactic bowling at
West Point
The West Point bowling center offers Galactic Bowling every Thursday (5 to 9
p.m.), Friday (9 to 11 p.m.) and Saturday (4 to 11 p.m.). Galactic bowling party
