Cardio kickboxing offered
Get fit with cardio kickboxing Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:15 to 6:15 p.m. at
the MWR Fitness Center (old PX). Come and try the latest fitness rage -- your
first class is free. Beginners to advanced exercisers are welcome. Call
instructor Dawn Therrell at 446-0435 for specific class information.
Early morning fitness class
Get in a full cardio workout with an early morning step aerobics class Tuesday
and Friday, 6 to 6:45 a.m. in the new MWR Fitness Center. Call Nancy at 446-5575
for more information.
Strength classes are offered Mondays and
Thursdays from 6 to 6:45 a.m. at the Fitness Center. Call Dawn at 446-0435 for
details.
Special rates apply for those who attend both
classes and discounts for husbands and wives are offered. Call 938-3601 to sign
up.
Jazzercise classes
Jazzercise classes are held in the new MWR Fitness Center on Mondays at 5:15
p.m., Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9-10 a.m. and 7-8 p.m., and Saturdays from
9-10 a.m.. There are special rates for multiple classes or you can just walk in
and try a class. The first one is free. Call 446-2186 or 527-1012 for more
information.
Fitness Center grand opening
The new MWR Fitness Center, located in the old PX, will celebrate its grand
opening April 5 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Plan to stop by for snacks, fitness
demonstrations, blood-pressure screenings by KACH personnel and more.
Hudson Valley orienteering
There will be an orienteering instruction and competition March 23 at the
Silvermine area in Harriman State Park. The Hudson Valley Orienteering Club will
give instruction and set a beginner’s course, an advanced beginner’s course,
and O, G and R courses for experienced orienteers. The event starts will run
from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Youth groups must have signed parent permission forms
which are available on the HVO Web page. Meets are held regardless of weather.

Baseball players wanted
Anyone interested in playing on the West Point Staff and Faculty Baseball Team
should contact Maj. Todd Henry at 938-4752/446-5104. The team competes in the
Westchester/Putnam Men’s Senior Baseball League (over 30) and the season
starts in April.
