YS Dance Recital
The Youth Services Dance Recital will be held May 18, 2 p.m. in Robinson
Auditorium.
Come join in the celebration as our dancers wish West Point "Happy Birthday!"
Great River Sweep
The Great River Sweep will be held April 23. West Point Torch and Key Clubs will
be cleaning up the riverbanks to keep our river beautiful. Call Jim Bennett,

WP Club plans gala
event
Circle April 12, on your calendar, West Point Club is holding a Membership Drive
and Appreciation Night for all prospective and current members in the Grand
Ballroom at 4:30 p.m.
Stop by and enjoy the free buffet and DJ, and sign up for the free drawing for a TV and gas barbecue grill.
New members receive: two tickets for a free Sunday Brunch, a free haircut coupon and a discount coupon for a dinner entree. Plus, any current West Point Club member who sponsors a new member will receive one month’s free dues!

Jazzercise
Jazzercise at the West Point
Fitness Center!! Come and join us for a fantastic &
fun workout. Classes are Mondays at 5:15 p.m., Tuesdays and Thursdays at 9
a.m. and 7 p.m., and Saturdays at 9 a.m. Come and try it out -- your first class

Spring cleanup
DHPW grounds crew are now picking up bagged leaves from housing areas on Monday,
Wednesday, and Fridays and this will continue throughout the spring cleanup
season.
All leaves must be bagged in clear, biodegradable bags available at the Self Help Center and should be placed at the curb. The leaf vacuum truck will be used only by special request.
St. Thomas Aquinas
College
Instructors are needed for Summer 2002 evening courses at West Point. ITAL 101
and 102: Conversational Italian I and II. Minimum qualification -- Masters
degree in subject.

Expanded hours at
fitness center
The MWR fitness center hours have been expanded. The facility is now open Monday
through Friday, 5:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Panel discussion to be
repeated
The ADD/ADHD panel discussion will be held again April 23 at 7 p.m. in the
second floor classroom at KACH. All West Point community members are welcome and
invited to attend. More information is available by calling Jen or Dan at

DUSA to award
scholarships
The West Point Chapter of the Daughters of
the United States Army awards scholarships to local graduating or recently
graduated high school students. Scholarship applications are available at the
DUSA gift shop and the O’Neill High School guidance counselors’ office.
Applications must be completed and received by April 30 to be considered.

Part-Day Preschool
registration
Part-Day Preschool registration will be held Friday, from noon to 1 p.m. at the
West Point Child Development Center, room 152. A non-refundable deposit of $50
will be required at the time of registration.

Registrations are now being taken for spring programs running April 22 through
May 22. You may register at YS at any time between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m., Monday
through Friday.

Celebrate Earth Day
You are invited to visit the West Point Recycle Center, located off Route 293
across from Round Pond (Range 4 -- Transfer Station), April 20, 10 a.m.-1 p.m.
Bring a pound of recyclables and enjoy a free hotdog!
Come by and see how we prepare recyclables for shipment to recycle processing plants.

Volunteer recognition

The Volunteer Recognition Ceremony will be held April 23, 4-6 p.m., at the West

Round Pond is open!
Round Pond Camping and Recreation Area is now open daily from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Reservations are being taken for camping, picnic and rental equipment; and USMA
fishing permits are on sale. Bull Pond reservation information is on the DCFA
web site, www.usma.edu/dcfa, and is also available by calling Round Pond,
938-2503.
Stewart Terrace
community yard sale
Stewart community members will be holding their annual yard sale April 20, 7
a.m. to 2 p.m., at the old Stewart Army Subpost Housing (now Marine Corps
Stewart Terrace Housing), located off Route 207 next to Stewart Airport.
The Caring Network
The Caring Network, a support group for families with special needs member, will
have their monthly meeting Wednesday, 7 to 9 p.m., at the 2nd floor conference
room at KACH.
During our discussion time we will have a fun craft activity. For a small fee, Cindy Fountain will be there to teach stamping to the group.
This is a good time to talk, learn a new craft and share some light refreshments with friends. For more information, please call Jenny or Dan at 446-513.
