How best to watch events

Sandhurst 2002 will run Saturday from 6 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. with the awards ceremony to be held from 6 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. on the Washington Hall steps.

The day’s events will begin at Normandy Range 11 off of Route 293 and finish near MacArthur statue on Jefferson Road near the superintendent’s quarters on post.

Shuttle buses will run from Clinton Field to bring spectators along different sites of the course.

The event Visitor’s Center will be located near MacArthur Statue this year and will again be selling T-shirts and refreshments.

Starting at Daly Field, there will be two shuttle buses circulating the sites for anyone wishing to observe the teams. Using POVs is authorized around the sites and West Point, but spectators should understand that they and their vehicles will be subject to searches at every gate.

Sandhurst officials recommend using the shuttle buses.
