West Point’s annual post-wide yard sale went off Saturday without a hitch, flooding the community with visitors from as far away as New York City.

Before afternoon showers could dampen spirits, droves of shoppers clogged the streets. Even West Point’s heightened security couldn’t discourage shoppers who were more than willing to run the gamut of car inspections at the post gates to come to an event they have become accustomed to over the years.
