USMA Board of Visitors to meet

WEST POINT, N.Y. -- The Board of Visitors of the U.S. Military Academy will meet Wednesday in Washington, D.C., to review and receive updates on the academic physical and military programs at the academy.

The Board of Visitors is appointed under the provision of Section 4355 of Title 10, United States Code. It is the duty of the board to inquire about the academy’s morale and discipline, curriculum, instructions, physical equipment, fiscal affairs and academic methods.

The board consists of presidential appointees: retired Rear Adm. Marsha Evans, Ms. Robin Umberg, retired Brig. Gen. Gilbert Baca, Charles Younger, Senators: Mike DeWine, Mary Landrieu, Jack Reed and Rick Santorum and Representatives: Maurice Hinchey, Ellen Tauscher, Sue W. Kelly, John M. McHugh and Charles H. Taylor.
