Army-Rutgers game to be televised

One week after opening the 113th season of intercollegiate football competition in school history against Holy Cross on Sept. 7, Army’s football team will make its first television appearance of the year when the Black Knights head south on the New Jersey Turnpike to face longtime metro rival Rutgers.
Fox Sports Net New York recently announced that it will air the 32nd gridiron matchup between Army and Rutgers, scheduled for Sept. 14 at Rutgers Stadium in Piscataway, N.J. Kickoff time is set for 7 p.m. Fox Sports Net New York serves the "Tri-State" area of New York, New Jersey and Connecticut and is also available nationally by subscription on Directv.
It will mark the first of four television appearances for the Black Knights during the 2002 campaign. Army’s game against Louisville on Sept. 21 at West Point will be televised regionally, and both legs of the Black Knights’ quest for the Commander in Chief’s Trophy will also be broadcast.
