ENGINEERING EXPO TO BE HELD AT WEST POINT – Sept. 7, 2006

WEST POINT, N.Y. – The U.S. Military Academy’s Department of Civil and Mechanical Engineering will host an Engineering Exposition, to showcase a variety of cadet and faculty projects and military equipment displays related to this field, here Friday from 6 until 8 p.m. in the Eisenhower Hall Ballroom.

Numerous agencies will be represented during the Expo to include approximately 15 academy departments, students from high schools throughout Orange County and Army agencies such as the Army Research Laboratory, Engineering Research and Development Center and the Cold Regions Research and Engineering Laboratory.

The event, which is open to the public, is sponsored by a grant from the American Society of Mechanical Engineers to foster diversity and outreach in processional organizations, engineering, math and sciences to all ages.

All guests of the U.S. Military Academy, ages 16 or older, are required to present proper photo identification upon entrance to the installation.
