WEST POINT MUSEUM EXHIBIT – Oct. 23, 2006
WEST POINT, N.Y. -- The West Point Museum will unveil a special exhibition, When Humanity Fails, depicting personal experiences of Holocaust survivors and will be on display at the U.S. Military Academy Nov. 3 through January 2007.
The exhibit was organized by the Afikim Foundation and funded by the United States government in cooperation with the U.S. Army Center of Military History, to present a multimedia display employing video, audio, and graphic narratives to help visitors explore and understand the Holocaust.
The West Point Museum is internationally known and respected as an authority on military history and heritage. It contains one of the oldest and largest diversified public collections of militaria in the Western Hemisphere. Today, the exhibits of the West Point Museum represent the culmination of more than two centuries of preserving our military heritage for the U.S. Corps of Cadets and the American people.
The West Point Museum is open seven days a week from 10:30 a.m. until 4 p.m. The Museum is closed Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day and New Year’s Day. For more information, call the Museum at 845-938-3590.
