WEST POINT MUSEUM EXHIBIT – Oct. 25, 2006

WEST POINT, N.Y. -- The West Point Museum will host a living history event featuring uniformed re-enactors, military exhibits and vehicles on Saturday, Oct. 28, during regular museum hours.

Displays will include a variety of vehicles, uniforms, equipment and weapons that will demonstrate how the American soldier has been equipped in the wars of the 20th century. Unlike other museum exhibits, these materials may be handled and examined by the public. The West Point Museum is internationally known and respected as an authority on military history and heritage. It contains one of the oldest and largest diversified public collections of militaria in the Western Hemisphere. Today, the exhibits of the West Point Museum represent the culmination of more than two centuries of preserving our military heritage for the U.S. Corps of Cadets and the American people.

The West Point Museum is free of charge and open seven days a week from 10:30 a.m. until 4 p.m. The Museum is closed Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day and New Year’s Day. For more information, call the Museum at 845-938-3590.
