ACADEMY CHANGE OF COMMAND CEREMONY – June 2, 2006

WEST POINT, N.Y. – Lt. Gen. William J. Lennox Jr. will pass the command of the U.S. Military Academy to Lt. Gen. Franklin L. Hagenbeck at a change of command ceremony on Friday, June 9, at 10 a.m. at the Trophy Point Amphitheater. Hagenbeck, a 1971 West Point graduate, will be the 57th superintendent of the academy.

Army Chief of Staff Gen. Peter J. Schoomaker will officiate at the ceremony in which the U.S. Military Academy’s Band, color guard and salute battery will participate. In the event of inclement weather, the ceremony will take place in Crest Hall located in Eisenhower Hall.
