CADETS EARN ALL-USA COLLEGE
ACADEMIC TEAM HONORS – Feb. 14, 2008
WEST
POINT, N.Y. – U.S. Military
Academy Cadets Rajiv Srinivasan, 21, of Roanoke,
Va., and Kimberly Jung, 21, of Los Angeles, Calif., were
named today as recipients of this year’s USA TODAY
All-USA College
Academic Team.
USA TODAY honors 60 undergraduate academic
all-stars each February as its All-USA College Academic Team. Nominees must be undergraduates of at least
sophomore standing at a four-year institution of higher education in the United States. The top 20 students will each receive a
trophy and $2,500 cash award. Forty more
runners-up named to the Second, Third Teams receive certificates, and their
names are announced in the newspaper.
Srinivasan
was named to the first team and majoring in Arabic and Comparative Politics. He
is in his final year at West Point and
scheduled to graduate in May and serve in the Armor branch.
Jung was named to
the third team and is majoring in Mechanical Engineering with a focus in
biological systems; she is in her final year at West Point
and scheduled to graduate in May and serve in the Corps of Engineers branch.
