GEREN TO SPEAK AT USMA GRADUATION – May 1, 2008

        WEST POINT, N.Y. – Secretary of the Army Pete Geren is expected to be the graduation speaker for the U.S. Military Academy’s Class of 2008.  The ceremony will take place on Saturday, May 31, at 10 a.m. in Michie Stadium.  Approximately 900 cadets will receive Bachelor of Science degrees and be commissioned as second lieutenants in the U.S. Army.

      Geren became the 20th Secretary of the Army July 16, 2007, following his nomination by President George W. Bush and confirmation by the United States Senate.
