AIR FORCE WEEK FLYOVERS – Nov. 3, 2009
WEST POINT, N.Y. – U.S. Air Force aircraft will begin their traditional flyovers above the skies of the West Point this week in preparation for the Army vs. Air Force football game. The game is scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 7, at 3:30 p.m. at Falcon Stadium in Colorado Springs, Colo.
The flyovers are tentatively scheduled for Thursday and Friday in the morning and several times during mid-afternoon. The exact number and times of flights may vary. Area residents can expect to see low-flying aircraft and may experience increased noise levels in and around the surrounding communities.
These flights are coordinated as part of routine training missions and are conducted in strict accordance with all government flight and safety regulations. The flights may be cancelled without prior notice due to poor weather, mechanical issues or other unplanned circumstances.
