West Point grad dubbed 'father of Iraqi Army'
Maj. Gen. Paul Eaton, former Office of Security Transition Commanding General and a 1972 grad from USMA,  has grown the police and military teams in Iraq to an all-encompassing unit that has overcome a withering daily storm of shortfalls, disappointments, changes, barriers, timelines and a myriad of other problems that never make the headlines.

New commander takes charge at Keller
Col. Peter G. Torok replaced Col. Brian D. Allgood as commander of the U.S. Army Medical Department Activity at West Point Monday during a change-of-command ceremony at Trophy Point.   

The lady of the dance
Dance instructor Marisa Paull, who spent most of her childhood training for a professional ballet career, is the driving force behind 142 young dancers.  

FEGLI open season scheduled for this September
Office of Personnel Management Director Kay Coles James announced May 25 that they would hold the first open season for the Federal Employees’ Group Life Insurance Program since 1999. OPM will hold the FEGLI 2004 Open Season September 1 to 30.  

Burke earns second All-America honor in javelin
Second Lt. Adam Burke concluded an outstanding season with his second consecutive All-America honor in the javelin Saturday afternoon at the NCAA Track and Field Championships, placing 11th overall and eighth among Americans in the javelin. He is the seventh Army track and field athlete to be named All-America twice.
