Scouts who crossed over as WEBELOS from Pack 23 have already paid their fees for 2008 thorough their popcorn money transferred from the Cubs.

WED, 12 DEC: Patrol Leaders' Council and Board of Review. Band Building Basement, 7:00-8:30 PM. Uniform is Class B for PLC. Uniform for Board of Review is Class A with neckerchief, sash, and Scout Handbook.

WED, 12 DEC: Wilderness Survival Merit Badge. Scout Hut, 7:00-8:30 PM. Uniform is Class B. Let us know if you need to attend this merit badge class and the PLC or the Board of Review and we can arrange for transportation between the events!
WED, 19 DEC: Court of Honor, Cullum Hall, 6:30-8:30 PM. Uniform is Class A with neckerchiefs and merit badge sashes. This will be a very special Court of Honor, as we will also see Bryan Jacoby pin on his Eagle badge! Please bring a holiday treat (cookies, brownies, etc.) to share with the Troop and our families. Set up begins at 6:00, and the ceremony must begin promptly at 6:30 PM.
This is the last day to pay your 2008 Scout registration and dues on time. Cost is $60 per Scout for the whole year!
SUN, 13 JAN: Hudson Valley Council Ski Day, Belleayre Ski Resort. We need some additional adult leaders to help drive! Contact Mr. Pat Sullivan for information.
SAT, 19 JAN: Delaware District Klondike Derby. 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM. Manza Family Farm, Montgomery, NY. This is our first opportunity in a long time to get out our Klondike Sleds and practice our Scout skills! We need adult leaders to lead this event.
FRI-SUN, 15-17 FEB: Winter Cabin Campout, Clear Lake. This popular event is once again being led by Mr. Metro and Mr. Walling. We'll sleep in our favorite Cedar Cabin while we snow-shoe, sled, and ice fish during the day. Details and sign-up sheets will be at Scout meetings beginning in January.
SAT, 1 MAR: University of Scouting. A day-long event for adult leaders to attend up to six BSA training courses and earn a notional degree in Scouting.
FRI-SUN, 11-13 APR: Ricketts Glen State Park, PA, Campout. This is a chance for the Troop to camp in a new location and meet Scouts from another area. Mr. Ohlson has done some preliminary coordination work, but he needs additional adults to help organize the event and to drive.
FRI-SUN, 9-11 MAY: West Point Scoutmaster's Council Invitational Camporee. Lake Frederick, USMA. A great event every time! We need adult leaders to take the lead in organizing our Troop and attending this campout.
THU, 22 MAY: Memorial Day Flag Placing, West Point Cemetery. 3:30 PM. Scouts should arrive in full uniform to help the Cubs and Girl Scouts place flags at each of the 7,500 graves in the West Point Cemetery. With everyone in the family helping, this event usually takes only an hour to accomplish!
SUN-SAT, 13-19 JULY 2008: Camp Aquehonga! Go to http://tenmileriver.org/aq/ for more information about our biggest Troop campout of the year! Note that a $25 deposit will be due before 31 March 2008. We need to line up at least four more adults to go on this campout with the Scouts. Active duty military can request PTDY instead of leave!
LONG-RANGE EVENTS:
22 JULY - 3 AUGUST 2009: PHILMONT! We're in! We were successful in obtaining one of the highly sought reservations at Philmont! We are authorized to send a crew of 9 Scouts and 3 adults. We will publish the criteria for attendance, with minimum age and rank requirements, soon. Go to www.philmontscoutranch.org for more information. Contact Mr. Weir for more information.
NOTE: All adult leaders, including merit badge counselors, must take the Youth Protection Training at least once every two years. There is an easy online program at http://olc.scouting.org/ that allows us to do this training relatively easily. Please let Mr. Smith or Mrs. McConnell know the date of your last YPT certificate.
