The Mission

The ASME Student Chapter at USMA is organized to enrich the undergraduate experience for both engineering majors and non-majors. Through a variety of activities, cadets expand their basis of knowledge and application of theory far beyond that which can be transmitted in a classroom. Additionally, cadet participation in the ASME Student Chapter sparks a desire to continue learning about the roles and relationships of science, engineering and technology. This directly contributes to one of the Mechanical Engineering Program's Outcomes.
