A message from the West Point Prep football staff:
West Point Football Family and Friends,
Welcome to West Point Prep Football! With the 2009 season rapidly approaching, we are anxiously awaiting the arrival of our future West Point Football players. In correlation with the new football staff at West Point, we as Prep School coaches are committed to providing the best possible preparation for our Cadet Candidates. Our mission is to develop them both academically and physically for success as West Point football players.
The West Point Football staff has sent recruited athletes to the Prep School to participate in a ten month developmental program. While at the Prep School, our athletes will work within a system that mirrors West Point. The coaches at the Prep School will teach the offensive and defensive strategies and techniques that will prepare them to start their careers at West Point. Cadet Candidates also enhance their strength, speed, and overall athleticism through a rigorous off-season conditioning program developed by the strength and conditioning staff at Army.
While at the Prep School, our players will compete in a rigorous 10 game schedule, including some of the top Junior Colleges, prep schools, and four year collegiate JV programs in the nation. After kicking off with West Point JV on August 29 at Fort Monmouth, NJ and high-lighted by games against Nassau JC and University of South Alabama, we will finish with rival Navy Prep on November 14 in Newport, RI.
Once again, welcome to Fort Monmouth! We look forward to meeting everyone on R-Day!
GO ARMY!!
