Fort Monmouth, NJ – The Army Prep Men’s Basketball team officially opened its season this past weekend against Notre Dame Prep.  After getting off to a slow start, the Black Knights went into halftime down 20 points.  Early in the second half, the Black Knights started to heat up as they quickly cut the lead to ten points, but Notre Dame Prep would not look back from there. 

The Black Knights suffered their first loss of the season 73-54 to NDP.  In the scoring column, Jesse Steele led the Knights with 11 points, while Josh Johnson and Rob Brown tallied 9 and 6 points, respectively.  The Black Knights will be back in action on Saturday, November 3, 2007 to take on Notre Dame Prep for their second game of the season.

Fort Monmouth, NJ – The Men’s Basketball team was in action today as they took on Notre Dame Prep for the second time this weekend.  The Black Knights took another loss to NDP 67-59 to go 0-2 on the season.  Leading the Knights in scoring was Brenden Reber who had 12 points in the outing.  Also contributing to the effort was Jesse Steele who tallied 9 points on the day.  The Black Knights will be back in action Wednesday, November 7, 2007 to take on Northampton Community College at Fort Monmouth.  Tip-off is 7 pm. 

Fort Monmouth, NJ – The Army Prep Black Knights were back in action Wednesday night as they took on Northampton Community College.  Posting their first win of the year, the Black Knights defeated Northampton 74-73 in the last few seconds of the game. 

After trailing for most of the game, the Knights regained the lead with about six seconds left in the game from a Jesse Steele lay-up.  Julian Simmons led the Black Knights in scoring with 27 points.  Also contributing to the effort were Steele with 17, Brenden Reber with 12, and Pat Harris with 9 points.  The Black Knights will not take the court again until November 29, 2007 against Union Community College here at Fort Monmouth.
