Ben Simonson

Simonson is a native of Black River Falls, WI.  He attended Black River High School.  Ben is one of our three prior service athletes, and brings with him valuable experiences from his time in the Army.  In his time at USMAPS, Simonson has shown great effort, practicing through a difficult thumb injury. 

The team has nicknamed him “The Foot” because his versatility as an athlete has allowed him to dominate in preseason soccer games, as well as the ability to kick the ball to knock people out of dodgeball games.  Ben has shown athleticism on both the wrestling mat and elsewhere.  He will rely on his strong body position, excellent work ethic, and will to succeed this season to take out his opponents.

Personal:  Benjamin Timothy Simonson.  Birthday is 3 June 1988.  He says he wanted to attend the military academy for the education and Army experience after graduation.  Being a big fan of the Green Bay Packers, it is no surprise that he lists Brett Favre as his favorite athlete. Simonson lists winning the majority of his matches, turning people from the top position, and having fun as his main wrestling goals this season.  Academically, Simonson would like to be making straight A’s by the end of the school year.
