I am the faculty sponsor and liaison for the Culture Club. Our club’s purpose is to give cadet candidates an opportunity to enjoy the cultural activities available in the area. A few examples of very close cultural sites are Count Basie Theater in Red Bank, The Lauren Woods Theater at Monmouth University, The NJ Repertoire Theater in Long Branch, and The Eatontown Theater in Eatontown. And, of course, we have trips to NYC to see both Broadway and Off-Broadway theater productions. All students are invited to participate, and a significant portion of the trip expenses are paid through funds donated by the Ambrose Monell Foundation. The club also sponsors an annual USMAPS Poetry Night. Please stop by my office in room #118 of the academic building if you have questions or ideas for cultural activities.
