The purpose of this position is to plan, organize and coordinate at a minimum four-five major conferences each year. Planned conferences include the Annual USMA/ARL Technical Symposium; conferences in support of Core Mathematics research/reformation of College Algebra at the Military Academy and Research that rejuvenates and refocuses undergraduate mathematics in Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs).
Human Resource Coordinator (Military)
Position is located in the Plans and Resources Division of the Office of the Dean, at the United States Military Academy (USMA) West Point, New York. The primary purpose of the position is to provide administrative support to the Force Management Director and Functional Area 47 proponent for the Dean of the Academic Board in the Office of the Dean. Performs a wide variety of actions to identify candidates, develop search criteria, nominate qualified officers, assist in schooling the successful candidates, and assign the permanent associate professors to the United States Military Academy.
Special Instructions: Candidate must have a Masters in Library Sciences (MLS); Oversees the Material Processing Division of the U.S. Military Academy Library, West Point, New York. Administers the selecting, acquiring/procuring, cataloging, authority and serials controlling, processing, digitizing, binding, preserving, and weeding of all types of books and non-book materials.
Special Instructions: Candidate must have a Masters in Library Sciences (MLS); Serves as Administrative Services Librarian in the Administrative Services division of the United States Military Academy at West Point, NY. The major duties include budget, assessment, statistics and data analysis, marketing and communications, and facility management.
