MISSION:   To plan, administer and supervise administrative services and military personnel service support, which includes officer and enlisted strength management for the West Point Community.  To manage soldier programs and provide direct military personnel service to all assigned, tenant, and attached units at USMA.  To provide retirement, retention, personnel processing, records management, and casualty assistance reporting services.  To coordinate and participate in graduation and other ceremonial events.  To advise the Staff and Faculty on all matters pertaining to the Adjutant General activities in support of the United States Military Academy's mission. 

The United States Military Academy offers assignment opportunities for Officer and Enlisted personnel that are unequaled anywhere in the Army. Some officer assignments require an advanced schooling degree which is normally attained by attendance at an approved Advanced Civilian School. Other Officer assignments are direct assignments where such a degree may or may not be required.

The United States Military Academy also operates the US Military Academy Preparatory School located at Fort Monmouth, New Jersey.
