MINUTE PRESENTATION PLUS 5 MINUTES FOR QUESTIONS
FACTS:
- Student
competitors do not have to be ASEE members.
- The competition’s
goal is to have the broadest possible representation from member
institutions.
- Each institution
may send one finalist; if there are fewer than 12 entries from
eligible schools, the balance of the 12 positions may be filled
from a list of alternates.
- Each institution
is charged with determining its own finalist and alternates.
An institutional review and selection process or competition
resulting in the designation of one primary submission plus
ranked alternates of that institution is desired. Institutions
may use their own criteria for designated entries.
- Cash prize
awards for top presentations: 1st-$300; 2nd-$200; 3rd-$100.
Cash prize awards are generously sponsored by: An Industrial
sponsor, TBA
- Team project
must designate one presenter.
- Good projects
are those that are unique in nature and lend themselves to being
presented orally, supported by audio-visual materials, and/or
demonstration.
- The effectiveness
of the presentation is key to reaching award status.
- Winners
will be selected based solely on the 20 minute presentation.
