SFC Laura Bradley
Vocalist

Sergeant First Class Laura Bradley came to the Jazz Knights in October of 1999 with an extensive background in both military music performance and military administration.  She joined the Army in 1986 as a personnel service specialist and served in that capacity for seven years.  In 1994, she changed her career focus and became soprano section leader in the 25th Infantry Division Chorus, Schofield Barracks, Hawaii.  In November of 1996, Sergeant Bradley was assigned as vocalist to the 214th Army Ground Forces Band, Fort McPherson, Georgia.  Her career highlights include many solo performances for dignitaries and with renowned civilian musicians.  While stationed in Hawaii, she was selected by the White House Chief of Staff to sing the National Anthem for President Clinton.  She also sang the anthem for the Atlanta Braves at Turner Field, with former President and Mrs. Carter in attendance.  SFC Bradley has performed as a featured soloist on three compact disc recordings with her units, singing in styles ranging from classical to patriotic, and jazz to R&B.  It was a particular honor for her to be chosen to perform for soldiers in Haiti during Operation Uphold Democracy.  She has also sung with such jazz greats as bassist John Clayton, trombonist Conrad Herwig, vibraphonist Victor Mendoza, and improvisation educator Jamie Aebersold.  Additionally, a highlight of SFC Bradley's career was touring with the Army Soldier Show for its 1986 and 1991 seasons.  During March of 2004 she was honored as a guest performer with the United States Army, Europe, Jazz Ensemble as it toured Hungary, Austria and Germany.
