The U.S. Military Academy Band’s popular
“A Hudson Valley Holiday” concert is expanding to two performances this
year on December 9th at 7:30 p.m. and
December 10th at 3:00 p.m. in the
Eisenhower Hall Theatre. This variety show of holiday music will
feature the Mid-Hudson Ballet Company choreographed by Estelle and
Alfonso and the Fairfield County Children’s Choir directed by Jon Noyes.
New York City actor Jay Montgomery will be featured along with Academy
Band vocalists, Sgts. 1st Class Laura Bradley and MaryKay Messenger.

Richard has cooked up a “TV Land” medley, including arrangements from

2007 Guest Artist Series
Stars, Stripes and Sousa!
The music and popular programming style of the March King, John
Philip Sousa, will be featured on January 19th,
2007 at 7:30 p.m. in the Eisenhower Hall Theatre. Keith
Brion will lead the Concert Band in a historical musical journey through
Sousa’s eyes. The program will display many arrangements of
classical fare, period pieces, solos and encores in the form of famous
marches. Mr. Brion will don the black and gold-trimmed uniform,
medals, white gloves and a well-cropped white moustache. His
conducting style will represent the mannerisms of the legendary
bandsman.
Marni Nixon
On February 2nd, 2007 at 7:30 p.m. the
Guest Artist Series welcomes Marni Nixon, “The Voice of Hollywood,” to
the stage at Eisenhower Hall Theatre. Nixon’s career includes
opera, chamber and symphony, oratorio soloist and Grammy-nominated
recordings under conductors Previn, Mehta, Stravinsky, Stokowski,
Slatkin and Bernstein. Awards include four Emmys for Best Actress
on her children’s TV show Boomerang, two gold records for Songs for Mary
Poppins and Mulan, and two classical Grammy nominations. She is
perhaps most noted as the dubbed singing voice of Margaret O’Brien in
The Secret Garden, Ingrid Bergman in Joan of Arc, Natalie Wood in West
Side Story, Audrey Hepburn in My Fair Lady, and Deborah Kerr in An
