MESSAGE OF FELICITATIONS

         It is with great pleasure that I came to learn about the celebration of the bicentennial of the founding of your illustrious Academy in the year 2002. I, on behalf of all the members of our Bangladesh Military Academy, like to convey our warm felicitations on the eve of this great celebration.

         Here, I like to seize this unique opportunity to pen down some of our feelings on this grand occasion. Yours is an Academy which has traversed a pretty long way since its inception in March 1802. Over the long span of time, it has steadily grown in its stature, experience and expertise and has, therefore, become an object of envy for others. It has produced excellent military leaders many of whom have been acclaimed all the world over having their mark not only in the field of battle but in other important spheres of life as well.

         Ours is an Academy which, compared to yours, is quite young in age and experience. Only a year ago, we celebrated the silver jubilee of its establishment. Nevertheless, we have been moving forward steadily to produce quality officers for our army. Here, we recollect with gratitude the contribution made by your Academy in the past in the form of arranging occasional visits and sharing your knowledge and experience with us. We eagerly look forward for such cooperation in future.

         Once again we extend our warm congratulations on the occasion of your bicentennial celebration and wish you all the happy moments and grand success.
