Lieutenant General William J. Lennox, Jnr,
Superintendent,
United States Military Academy,
West Point,
New York.

Since 16th March, 2002, marks the two hundredth anniversary of the founding of the United States Military Academy at West Point, I am delighted to send my warmest good wishes to its many Officers and Corps of Cadets, both past and present, on this memorable occasion.

The Academy has always been at the forefront of the highest standards of integrity, professionalism and technical ability in the Armed Forces of the United States and its students have distinguished themselves in many historic engagements over the past two centuries.

As allies, Britain and the United States have been able to work together for a more peaceful and just world. I am glad to send you all my congratulations on this important anniversary and to wish you continued success in the future.

ELIZABETH R.
