Major Adam Grim is a native of Orange Park, FL and graduated from the United States Military Academy at West Point in 2000. Commissioned as a second lieutenant in the Armor branch, he attended the Officer Basic Course at Fort Knox, KY with a follow on assignment with 3rd Brigade, 2nd Infantry Division (Stryker) at Fort Lewis, WA. While a member of 3/2 SBCT, he served in various roles including Mobile Gun System Platoon Leader, Recce Platoon Leader, Troop Executive Officer, and Squadron Logistics Officer. While serving as the Squadron Logistics officer he deployed with 1-14 Cavalry Regiment to Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2003 - 04 with duty in Samarra, Mosul, and Tal Afar. Upon return from Iraq, he attended the Armor Captain's Career Course at Fort Knox, KY and returned to Fort Lewis, WA and 3/2 SBCT to command Crazy Horse Troop, 1-14 CAV. During his 30-month command, he lead his Stryker Reconnaissance Troop during a 15-month deployment to Iraq from 2006 - 07 as part of the Surge, with areas of operation including Abu Dishcir, Diwaynia, and Baghdad. Upon return from Iraq, he attended graduate school at George Mason University in Fairfax, VA and received a Master of Arts degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology. MAJ Grim is currently assigned to the United States Military Academy as an instructor of introductory psychology (PL100) in the Behavioral Sciences and Leadership department. MAJ Grim's awards and decorations include the Bronze Star with Valor (1 Oak Leaf Cluster), the Meritorious Service Medal, the Army Commendation Medal (1 Oak Leaf Clusters), the Army Achievement Medal (2 Oak Leaf Clusters), the Combat Action Badge, and the Parachutist Badge.
