CPT Sam Perlik grew up in Charlotte, NC and is a 2007 graduate of the United States Military Academy. He was commissioned as an Infantry officer, and after completing initial training joined the 4th Brigade (Airborne), 25th Infantry Division in Fort Richardson, AK. Sam served as a Rifle Platoon Leader and Company Executive Officer, and deployed to the P2K region of eastern Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF) 09-10. After completing the Maneuver Captain’s Career Course, CPT Perlik was assigned to 4th Brigade, 82nd Airborne Division in Fort Bragg, NC. There he served on the Brigade Operations staff and commanded Charlie Company, 1-508 Parachute Infantry Regiment. While in command CPT Perlik deployed to southern Afghanistan in support of OEF 12. A proud paratrooper, Sam has served all of his operational assignments in airborne units.
In preparation for a faculty role in BS&L Sam attended the MIT Sloan School of Management, where he earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a focus on strategy and sustainable business operations. He now serves as an Instructor for Operations Management and Strategic Management.
Sam’s wife is a West Point classmate and Aviation officer who is a faculty member in the Department of Social Sciences.
