CPT Arianna Morell was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in the Ordnance Corps in 2007 through Officer Candidate School at Fort Benning, Georgia. Upon completion of the Ordnance Officer Basic Course, she was selected to attend Naval School Explosive Ordnance Disposal. After graduating from Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) school in 2008, she was assigned to the 704th Ordnance Company (EOD), Fort Hood, Texas.
CPT Morell’s assignments include Platoon Leader, 704th Ordnance Company (EOD), Fort Hood, Texas; Battalion S-4 (RD), 303rd Ordnance Battalion (EOD), Schofield Barracks, Hawaii; Company Commander, 706th Ordnance Company (EOD), Schofield Barracks, Hawaii; and EOD Plans Officer, Asia Pacific C-IED Fusion Center, US Army Pacific Command, Fort Shafter, Hawaii. CPT Morell is currently an instructor in the Behavioral Sciences and Leadership Department at USMA West Point, and an Officer Representative for the West Point Parachute Team.
CPT Morell deployed to Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2009, and to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom in 2011-2012.
Her military education includes Ordnance Officer Basic Course (2007), Naval School Explosive Ordnance Disposal (2008), and Combined Logistics Captains’ Career Course (2010).
CPT Morell earned a Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology (Emphasis: Marriage and Family Therapy) from Pepperdine University in 2016, and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology (with a minor in Political Science) from the University of Hawaii at Manoa in 2006.
Her awards and decorations include the Bronze Star (2nd award), Meritorious Service Medal, Army Meritorious Unit Commendation, National Defense Service Medal, Afghanistan Campaign Medal, Iraq Campaign Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon (2nd award), NATO Medal, Combat Action Badge, and the Senior Explosive Ordnance Disposal Badge.
