The workshop consists of a demonstration and discussion of the faculty and student interfaces and building courses. Participants learn the features and functionality of the software.
Blackboard 2: Creating and Managing Discussions and Assessments in Blackboard 9.1
This workshop is designed as a follow up to the Introduction to Blackboard workshop. The workshop will focus on the use of asynchronous and synchronous discussions to enhance teaching and learning and provides an overview of the assessment and survey features of Blackboard. This consists of a brief demonstration of a discussion and an assessment created in Blackboard followed by hands-on experience building discussions and assessments.
Using the Respondus Test Editor and Respondus Lockdown Browser
Respondus is a Windows-based authoring tool that makes it easy to create and manage exams and surveys for Blackboard Learn. Respondus LockDown Browser is a custom browser that locks down the testing environment in Blackboard. When students use LockDown Browser to take a Blackboard test, they are unable to print, copy, go to other websites, access other applications, or close a test until it is submitted for grading. This workshop demonstrates the use of both applications.
