5/4/2014Juilliard Trombone Choir - Joseph Alessi, Director
3p.m. at the Cadet Chapel.  Joseph Alessi is the Principal Trombonist of the NY Philharmonic.  The Juilliard Trombone Choir returns for their sixth year in what has become a new favorite West Point spring event!  Trombones from the USMA Band join the Juilliard Choir creating a truly spectacular sound in the chapel acoustics!
5/18/2014Thomas Dressler, Concert Organist
3p.m. at the Cadet Chapel.  Mr. Dressler will perform masterworks of the Baroque and Romantic eras including selections of Bach and Rheinberger.  He was a student of Joan Lippincott at Westminster Choir College and is considered by many to be an expert in historical performance practice.
9/28/2014John West, Concert Organist
3 p.m. at the Cadet Chapel.  Organ Classics on the World's Largest Church Pipe Organ.  Mr. West's performance credits include solo appearances with the New York Philharmonic Orchestra, the Pasadena Symphony and with the inimitable Arthur Fiedler and the Boston Pops.  He has been a featured artist of the American Guild of Organists Region X Convention, the Los Angeles Chapter of the American Guild of Organists, and has performed at all of the major houses and instruments in Southern California including Walt Disney Concert Hall, Dorothy Chandler Pavilion, Spreckels Organ pavilion, the Hollywood Bowl and Ambassador Auditorium, the Hazel Wright Organ at the Crystal Cathedral and the Great Organs of the First Congregational Church Los Angeles.
11/9/2014"Storm King Symphony" - Christopher Jennings, Concert Organist
3p.m. at the Cadet Chapel.  Christopher Jennings, Associate Organist/Choirmaster of St. James' Episcopal Church in New York City, will perform Clarence Dickinson's Storm King Symphony for organ along with other classics.  Inspired by the mountain majesty surrounding West Point, this will be the first performance of the work actually played in the shadow of the place of inspiration.  Mr. Jennings will include other American and international classics as well.
