Religious Education
The Religious Education Department is located in the Cloister Room of Most Holy Trinity Catholic Chapel. It is coordinated by the Director of Religious Education, Dr. Joseph Lynch. He can be reached at (845) 938-8761 or email.
 
Confraternity of Christian Doctrine (CCD)
 
The CCD program is held weekly from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. in Thayer Hall, third floor, west side. Classes are available from Pre-K to Adult, including special needs children. A nursery is available for volunteers and those individuals attending the Adult class. A registration form can be found here. Please fill it out and bring it to the Religious Education office located in the Cloister Room, or give it to Administrative Assistant Kathleen Mitroka. Also, you can scan it and email it to Dr. Joe Lynch. Catechists are volunteers who teach the classes. If you are interested in being a catechist or an assistant, please contact Dr. Joe Lynch.
 
Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA)
 
The RCIA program is the process by which adults become members of the Catholic Church. It is a multiple step process that takes several months to complete. The next RCIA class is scheduled to start early September on Tuesday evenings, beginning at 7:00 p.m. and meeting in the Cloister Room. This is a combined class that includes both adults and Cadets. ChristLife is a Catholic lay ministry established in 1995 in response to the Catholic Church's call to a new evangelization. It is a three part, seven week process that includes the following:
  • Discovering Christ: A seven week exploration of Jesus Christ
  • Following Christ: A seven week journey of discipleship
  • Sharing Christ: A seven week journey of evangelization.
Classes will be formed for both adults and Cadets. The adult class meetings will take place weekly. The Cadet class meetings will be coordinated with the Cadets’ calendars. The formation meeting for both adults and cadets will be on August 17, 2014, at 4:00 p.m., in the Cloister Room. Interested adults need to contact Dr. Joe Lynch. Cadets need to contact Cadet Tessa Knight.
