Programs
AWANA is one of the fastest growing youth organizations in the country. Celebrating its fiftieth anniversary in 2000, AWANA has over 10,000 clubs worldwide. There are AWANA clubs in all 50 states and over 90 countries, from Argentina to Zimbabwe. AWANA is a Bible-based youth ministry, whose goal is to reach boys and girls with the gospel of Christ and to teach them His Word. The AWANA name is an acrostic derived from a verse in the Bible, II Timothy 2:15: "Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed." Nearly all of our leaders have been trained by an AWANA missionary, Mr. Ken Hoffmeyer, whose full-time job is to help churches establish and run a successful AWANA Club.
