What Occurs at the AWANA Meetings?

The AWANA program is centered on a weekly club night, consisting of three major parts with an Opening and Closing Ceremony.

Opening Ceremony is where Leaders greet their Clubbers each week and recite together the Pledge of Allegiance and the AWANA Pledge.
Game Time is packed with exciting activities that include both team and individual competition. Game Time promotes the development of team spirit, good sportsmanship, coordination skills, and self-confidence.
Handbook Time is a learning and training time focused on the importance of God's Word for daily living. Working on-on-one with their leaders, clubbers recite memory verses and answer questions to demonstrate questioning that he or she comprehend the Bible verses and readings.
Council Time(Story Time at Cubbies Level) includes songs, presentation of awards and other recognition for individual and group achievement, and a short message of encouragement based on a Biblical truth or story for all the members of that particular Club.
Closing Ceremony wraps the weekly meeting up, provides a time of thanks for God's blessing, and affords parents an opportunity to hear any announcements being made regarding future club meetings.
