Volunteer for Special Events
- We are still in great need of AWANA leaders. Please pray about this and if the Lord places a desire in your heart to serve him and train children in his works, contact Lynne Niggel-Conroe at 446-8791
Parent Volunteers are critical to helping make the Special Events happen and memorable for the Clubbers. Every Family will be asked to volunteer to help with one of the following Special Events. Please plan to attend the other events with your Clubbers.
CUBBIES Snacks - Cubbie Parents provide snacks at each Club meeting. See cubbies Club Director to sign up for a particular Sunday.
CUBBIES Helpers - Cubbie Parents are asked to help at one Club meeting throughout the year. When Leaders are sick, the Cubbies Club Director will ask parents to substitute for a Cubbie Leader.
AWANA Store Nights - The Store Night Directors need help setting up the tables on Store Nights and manning the tables while the Clubbers make their purchases.
AWANA Grand Prix - Sparks' Clubbers race Matchbox/Hot Wheel cars at the Grand Prix. T&T and JV Clubber make their Derby cars from a wood block AWANA kit. We need volunteers to set up and breakdown, check Clubbers' cars in for the Grand Prix, and judge the Derby Cars.
SPIRIT Night - SPIRIT Night is a night for Clubbers to demonstrate their enthusiasm, joy and love of the Lord through songs, poetry, drama, skits or recitation. Volunteers assist with "judging" the teems' skits, helping to set up and clean up.
Cadet/LIT Appreciation - clubbers give some small token of their appreciation to these special leaders.' Volunteers make sure the Clubbers donations are evenly distributed in each of the Cadet/LIT Appreciation bags.
Christmas & Easter Parties - Volunteers help organize/coordinate these events with the Directors.
ADOBT-A-CLUB - Volunteers assist the secretary, making sure that every Clubber receives a Coin Bank, all the Coin Banks collected are clearly marked, and Clubbers receive the appropriate Adobt-A-Club badge.
AWANA FAMILY FUN PICNIC - We need volunteers to help organize games, set up and clean up at the picnic site, and assist with the Barbecuing.
WEB PAGE DESIGN - To bring our Club up to speed, we need a Volunteer that can design and update a web page for the West Point AWANA Club through the Post Chapel Annex.
PUBLICITY - The Volunteer would assist the Club with publicizing all events and registration, through local papers, television stations, at the Housing Draw, Community Fair, etc.
NATIONWIDE AWANA EVENTS - We would like to send more Clubbers to these events. Volunteers need to assist with Team preparations for each of the events.
