Dr. Riegner is the Chemistry Program Director. She is the Faculty Advisor for the Gamma Sigma Epsilon National Chemistry Honor Society. She teaches Instrumental Analysis, Introduction to Analytical Chemistry, and General Chemistry I and II. Her research interests include developing analytical protocol for detection of explosives and new devices for chemical agent permeation detection.​
