Dr. Watson is currently working on research initiatives 1) assessing the effectiveness of USMA's Semester Abroad Program (SAP), 2) assessing current USMA curriculum to determine the "best" way to promote and facilitate intercultural effectiveness in USMA cadets, and 3) identifying the role of language in culture and the role of language proficiency in producing interculturally effective military personnel. With previous professional experience in Information Technology, Dr. Watson is also interested in how technology might be used to 1) enhance language learning at USMA and 2) enhance instructional materials and delivery among USMA faculty.
