Dr. Farr is currently a Professor of Engineering Management at the United States Military Academy at West Point and the Founding Director of the Center for Nation Reconstruction and Capacity Development. From 2007 to 2010 he was a Professor of Systems Engineering and Engineering Management and Associate Dean for Academics in the School of Systems and Enterprises at Stevens Institute of Technology. He was the founding Director of the Department of Systems Engineering and Engineering Management at Stevens from 2000 to 2007. Before coming to Stevens in 2000, he was a Professor of Engineering Management at the United States Military Academy at West Point where he was the first permanent civilian professor in Systems Engineering and Director of their Engineering Management Program. Prior to joining the faculty at West Point in 1992 he was the Team Leader of the Combat Engineering and Simulation Group at the U.S. Army Engineer Waterways Experiment Station.
