Battle Command Conference

"Every Soldier has a Sergeant"
20 - 21 April 2009

MISSION

USCC executes Battle Command Conference (BCC) XII from 20 – 21 April 2009 at West Point, NY in order to inspire graduating USMA and ROTC cadets with the knowledge and experience of combat veteran Officers and NCOs.

The mission of SCPME is to develop a professional self-concept of Officership in each cadet. Cadets have done much to achieve this self-concept and mentors will interact with small groups of Cadets on what it means to be a professional Military Soldier leading men and women in war. This will include discussing how the major elements of Battle Command - Character, Competence, and Leadership - worked for each mentor when preparing Solider for combat and leading Soldiers in battle. Please reference the Conference Framework for an understanding of some topics and quations that may arise during Mentor/Cadet discussions. There is no expectation that every topic will be addressed and these topic and certainly not all encompassing.

The uniform for all Officers and NCOs is ACUs for the duration of the Conference

the uniform for all ROTC and West Point Caets is their Class B equivalent for the duration of the Conference.
