Faculty Volunteers

The West Point Center for STEM Education needs faculty volunteers to help us inspire students in the pursuit of STEM.
There are many ways you can help.
1. Vounteer to spend a weekend working with students in urban areas. CSE partners with several outstanding programs in Chicago, Detroit, New York City and Los Angeles to provide full day STEM workshops during the school year.
2. Volunteer to sponsor a Middle School STEM Workshop. This year our workshop is scheduled for 2-4 June 2014.

3. Create your own STEM Lessons. In order to maintain the vibrancy of the various outreach and internal activities conducted for STEM, faculty are needed to develop hands on STEM modules that can be used for audiences from middle school students, high school students, and secondary school teachers.
These activities can range from one hour to a day long in duration.
STEM Faculty members are ideally suited to develop modules with relevant technical content.
STEM Staff members provide their technical expertise and enthusiasm in helping participants learn how to operate tools and manipulate materials.
For some events, funding for materials and equipment, as well as summer stipends, may be available.
