WELCOME!! I’m COL
The West Point DENTAC consists of the headquarters element, located on the West Point garrison, and four (4) dental treatment facilities. Saunders and Keller Hospital Dental Clinics are at West Point, New York and there are clinics at Fort Monmouth and Fort Dix, each located two to three hours from West Point in New Jersey.
The West Point clinics’ mission is to provide high quality comprehensive dental care to approximately 4100 cadets attending the United States Military Academy and the 1500 active duty personnel of staff and faculty who support this world-class institution. The Fort Monmouth Dental Clinic provides quality care to 250 cadets from the United States Military Academy Preparatory School and an active duty population of approximately 1000. Mills Dental Clinic at Fort Dix is utilized primarily to ready deploying solders during mobilization exercises and support integrated Army Reserve and National Guard active duty soldiers during their training period. Additionally the Mills staff provides quality dental care to the 1000 active duty soldiers permanently stationed in the area.
If you are being assigned to West Point DENTAC you should receive a Welcome Packet and phone call and/or letter from an assigned sponsor within a month of learning of your wonderful selection to be a member of our proud Team. If this does not occur please contact our Personnel Action Center at (845) 938-7761 or Headquarters’ Executive Secretary at (845) 938-4212.
I encourage you to take a moment and browse our website, getting to know our outstanding staff and all the wonderful services they provide. On behalf of the West Point Dental Activity’s officers, noncommissioned officers, enlisted soldiers and civilian personnel, I would like to say thanks for taking the time to get to know us. I solicit any comments or suggestions to improve our facilities, staffing or services. Please forward those to me at Barry.Bishop@amedd.army.mil. It is important to learn how well we are serving you.
