MEMORANDUM FOR ALL DENTAC PERSONNEL
SUBJECT: West Point DENTAC Commander’s Open Door Policy
1. SCOPE: This Policy applies to all DENTAC facilities and personnel assigned to or working in West Point DENTAC facilities.
2. POLICY:
a. It is my strong conviction that most problems confronting the individual soldier or civilian employee can be best handled through open dialogue and communication using the existing chain of command. My open door policy has been established to address those very few complex problems, which by virtue of their sensitivity and/or magnitude, clearly do not lend themselves to resolution through the conventional process.
b. Therefore, any member of this activity who desires to consult with me concerning such a problem will be assisted in doing so by calling my secretary for an appointment. I will make myself available at the earliest convenient time, consistent with previously scheduled operational requirements.
c. I expect each responsible individual to inform all personnel of this policy. Concurrently, I hold each member of the chain of command responsible for the prompt and appropriate resolution of minor problems at the lowest level.
d. A copy of this policy statement will be posted on each clinic’s official bulletin board.
